Bondi’s effort targets “not just the left,” but “anyone who isn’t a Trump supporter,” says Klippenstein of the sweeping order, which identifies targets as entities expressing “opposition to law and immigration enforcement,” support for “mass migration and open borders,” “radical gender ideology,” or views described as anti-American, anti-capitalist or anti-Christian, as well as “hostility towards traditional views on family, religion, and morality.” People who report extremists may be financially rewarded, and the FBI is reviewing records from the past five years, as well as the present..

Trump Is Trying To Strip Free Speech Rights In Insane Power Grab

Pam Bondi says the government will now target those who espouse hate speech. Trump suggested this morning that the hate speech they’ll be targeting is speech that criticizes him. Legal experts have made clear that hate speech is free speech and that it’s protected by the first amendment. You have a right to be rude, to be disgusting, to offend, to be hateful, and to say things that others don’t want to hear. But most importantly, it’s not hate speech to criticize the President. The President is not a protected class. Trump has now also filed a $15 billion lawsuit against the New York Times for “defamation”. He points to more than a dozen articles and books that he claims “falsely portray him as being dishonest” and as a result caused him damage to his “professional and occupation interests”. It’s on Trump to prove that the New York Times is wrong about him being dishonest, and he must also prove that they did it maliciously, and that they caused him actual harm and damage. Given that Trump won reelection, it’ll likely be hard for him to prove any of that. Trump is also now saying that he’s “not so sure” that people have a right to protest him. Last week, Trump was face to face with protesters in a DC restaurant. He says he ordered Bondi to investigate them because he says he wants them thrown in jail. Pam Bondi also said last night that it’s illegal for people to refuse to print posters for Charlie Kirk’s vigils…. That is, in fact, not illegal. The Supreme Court has ruled time and time again that the government can’t compel you to create work that violates your values. Trump and his admin are trying to take your free speech away but they will fail – the only way they can win is if you believe them and cave by self-censoring. Your rights have not changed.
