a new batch of billionaire converts to the Roman Catholic Church that are also trying to take over our country. And who hate the moderation of Pope Leo and hated Pope Francis even worse because of their moderate positions, which to these far right wing billionaire oligarchs are anathema. They want to live in a society in which they are not controlled. They can profit from what they’re doing. And I’m going to be honest, most of them are on a psychological spectrum that makes them unfit to be leaders anywhere.

They’re very clever in some little narrow tech field. But other than that, they’re absolutely monstrous people. Intelligent in one area and really dumb about everything else. Very greedy and very twisted. And very much like Donald Trump, with no limits to what they do or say or the lies they tell.

The Times of London, a very venerable newspaper, on March 16, 2026, has an article that brought up this whole idea of the Spanish Inquisition. The headline is “Peter Thiel labeled a heretic by Vatican aide over “Antichrist talks.”” The Palantir tycoon is giving a series of lectures in Rome and is undermining liberal society, according to a Franciscan friar who advises the Vatican.
Peter Thiel has been labeled a heretic after opening a series of lectures in Rome on the Antichrist, which is a pretty bizarre thing for him to claim any expertise in as a convert to the Roman Catholic Church and a tech billionaire. Thiel, co-founder of Palantir and PayPal, began a four-part invitation-only discussion, mostly to far-right European followers.
Paolo Benanti, a Franciscan friar who advised Pope Francis on artificial intelligence, accused him of undermining “the foundations of liberal society.” He said Thiel’s entire body of work can be interpreted as a sustained act of heresy against the liberal consensus, a challenge to the very foundations of civil coexistence.

Critics accuse Palantir, which provides data analytics to government, of enabling mass surveillance and state overreach. Benanti said that pursuing a project that leads to the dissolution of democratic structures through powerful technology is detrimental to democracy.

I was in Rome this week at the same time Thiel was. I was wandering around in the Jewish ghetto, looking at the plaques in the cobblestones documenting the deportation and killing of thousands of Jews from Italy.

So the fact that a right wing theocrat who doesn’t believe in democracy any longer is lecturing in Rome has an odd flavor, given the history of fascism in Italy and the Holocaust.

Thiel was a key advisor to Trump and is close to JD Vance, also a Catholic convert, also someone criticized by Pope Leo for what he says about the poor and “the least of these.” Vance has even suggested redefining Christian charity so it applies mainly to families and not strangers, which contradicts both the New and Old Testament.

During a previous series in San Francisco, Thiel said he was worried about the Antichrist and about death, which is why he funds research into longevity, including blood transfusions from young people and other extreme ideas. This whole tech mogul longevity movement wants to upload brains to computers, live forever, and engineer a perfect race. These guys are not well mentally.

The projects he supports make ordinary people’s lives harder, yet he is afraid of death. If the teachings of the Church are true, that is a serious contradiction.
The operating principle is simple. Rules are for other people. Power and profit are the point.
Thiel, Musk, Trump, Epstein. That is their world.

The paper trail is not confusing. We know who Peter Thiel is. Therefore we know who JD Vance is. Therefore we know who Elon Musk is. Therefore we know who Donald Trump is. They are counting on you not bothering to dig up the facts. But I remember those Nazi flags flying in Swakopmund in the mid-1980s.

On Thursday evening, the Federal Communications Commission voted to approve Paramount’s $8.4 billion merger with fellow entertainment firm Skydance Media. The controversial, long-awaited deal only came about thanks to Paramount’s appeals to this administration: settling a baseless lawsuit that Trump brought against 60 Minutes for “deceptively” editing its Kamala Harris interview, pressuring subsidiary CBS News to shift its “balance” in a right-wing direction, and canceling presidential foe and beloved comedian Stephen Colbert’s highly rated late-night talk show.

Of note: Skydance is owned by Ellison’s son, David, who personally met with both Trump and FCC Chair Brendan Carr to get the deal done. The elder Ellison is covering most of the cash to close the Skydance-Paramount merger, which will give him significant control over the new company and a chance to carry out, as he detailed in federal filings, a wholesale transformation of CBS in his vision—including broadcasts of complimentary PSAs for Trump administration initiatives.

When Carr announced the merger approval, he positively affirmed “Skydance’s commitment to make significant changes at the once storied CBS broadcast network,” including the impending hire of an “ombudsman” who’ll monitor CBS News broadcasts for “bias” as the overall company slashes its diversity, equity, and inclusion guidelines. Said Trump himself of his “friend” Larry Ellison: “I think he’s going to run CBS really well, and I think he’s making a good deal to buy it.”

Through this brazenly corrupt arrangement, the U.S. president has granted one of his pals uninhibited control over a longtime bastion of mainstream, fact-based news, which he openly intends to bend toward his conservative vision. And that’s just one of the ways Trump is helping Larry Ellison become the most powerful and not-so-secretly influential tech mogul in the country.
Oracle, which Larry still runs as chief technology officer and board chairman, is also in talks with David Ellison’s Skydance for a major deal that would see the latter pay the former $100 million a year to run all of Paramount’s tech through Oracle’s valuable cloud-computing software. Skydance already pays Oracle $2.2 million a year for its cloud and platform products, and the FCC explicitly signed off on David Ellison’s plan to run all of Paramount’s and Skydance’s software on the same cloud tech, which will be provided by Oracle.

While the ultimate decision to settle involved multiple actors within Paramount, including the board of directors, reports indicate that Shari Redstone, the chair and controlling shareholder of Paramount, was a key proponent of exploring a settlement with Trump. Some executives viewed Trump’s lawsuit as a potential hurdle to completing a proposed sale of the company to Skydance Media, which required the Trump administration’s approval.

Other individuals involved in the settlement process included CBS News executives and legal teams who initially opposed a settlement, citing the First Amendment and the perceived lack of merit in the lawsuit. However, the settlement was ultimately reached through mediation efforts
